We teach the Bible at Hope House. The children and youth read the Bible.
They do not get the Bible at home.
The number one church in the Philippines does not emphasize the Bible.
Imagine what it means that the child you sponsor will read the Bible
and be in groups of others who are also reading the Bible.
This is not important to many, Is it important to you?

I graduated because of the support I got. Thank you to God first and then to Hope House

When you sponsor a child you are not only helping support them in school, you are providing for them Bible teaching.  Many charitable organizations do not include the Bible as a priority

We are strong advocates of healthy diets. We are educated and informed about the crises of wrong diets and chemicals and processed foods.

Our mission is to provide children who are trapped in 3rd world urban slum poverty the support, education and faith culture they need to escape the brutal poverty they exist in,  and not only lead fulfilling lives, but also to rise and turn to help others. We are standing in the GAP. and creating bridges to freedom for these children. They need solutions, and those solutions are giving them the support and  training they need. We give them the tools they need to climb out of the brutal cycles of poverty.
Feeding the children at Hope House

A Christ Culture

We are not ashamed of Jesus Christ. We are not ashamed to bodly proclaim the gospel to all people. Our children here are trained in the way they should go.

Sponsor a child in the slums of Cebu Sponsoring a child is easy at Hope Church, and unlike other sponsoring organizations that send you a photo once every few months, we continually update you on FB, or if you are not on FB, we will update you through your email. We sponsor mostly children who are already in our group, so you will see them attending church, prayer meetings, activities, and etc. You can directly contact us and your questions will be answered promptly. We want you to have a connection to your child. This is also your ministry to the children trapped in extreme poverty in the slums of Cebu City, Philippines.

the key to escaping 3rd world poverty

When we talk about closing the gap, we are talking about connecting to community, we are talking about the faith community, the educational community, the business community and the world community. What happens with third world poverty, is ISOLATION, and lack of access. The number one cause of this ISOLATION is lack of education, and THE SUPPORT they need. The number one education issue is learning English. English is critical to opening access to world markets, travel and much better jobs both here and abroad. There is also a condition of the mind whereby the children of the poor do not see themselves as fitting into school, a future, or functioning at a much higher level. They see themselves as “other than” ” outside looking in” They believe it is their fate to be poor with no opportunity.

What we do at Hope House is work on an ever growing and more comprehensive program to bring about access to community for the children of the poor. What we are doing is opening the door to education, to economic opportunity, and to faith.

We are guiding them on a pathway out of extreme poverty and it requires financial support to do that.

We are a hope-link to what lies beyond the confines of 3rd world urban slum poverty.
